CLASS DESCRIPTION

This high-energy music theater experience is specially designed for students interested in exploring their place in musical theatre. Actors will produce a full-scale, Broadway Jr. production of “Willy Wonka Jr.” where they will sing, dance and act in the show. Rehearsals focus-in on building a solid stage technique while encouraging life skills like confidence, leadership, and teamwork. This intensive production will challenge the actors to become their best selves both on and off the stage, while making great friends and memories along the way. All levels and abilities welcome.

SHOW SYNOPSIS

Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka JR. follows enigmatic candy manufacturer Willy Wonka as he stages a contest by hiding golden tickets in five of his scrumptious candy bars. Whomever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy. Four of the five winning children are insufferable brats, but the fifth is a likeable young lad named Charlie Bucket, who takes the tour in the company of his equally amiable grandfather. The children must learn to follow Mr. Wonka’s rules in the factory — or suffer the consequences. 

TUITION:

$380 (+ $10 registration fee) – 4 Payments of $95

NOTE: There is a $50 costume rental fee per show due on the first day of class (beautiful costumes hand-selected by director – doesn’t include shoes, make-up, bodysuits, or undergarments).  This fee is applicable even if your student is enrolled in the Fall 2019 Two-Show Package.

*Rehearsal on 4/11 is 9AM-4PM

+Rehearsals on 2/7, 3/15, 4/5, 4/10, 4/11 and all Dress Rehearsals & Performances cannot be missed for any reason (unless there are extenuating circumstances- contact us!).

NOTE: Rehearsal dates are subject to change slightly prior to February.  Dress Rehearsal & Performance dates will NOT change
